海外本科新生All overseas first year undergraduate students are guaranteed a place in a University Hall of Residence for at least the first year of study. There is a wide choice of accommodation available, from single study bedroom with half board, to self-catering flats. Some accommodation is on the main campus, and some a short bus ride away. To help you in your choice of accommodation, full details of each of our halls are available under University Residences. Our comparison chart indicating at a glance the facilities available in each type of accommodation may also be of help. How to ApplyOnce you have accepted an unconditional or conditional offer of admission to the University, you will be sent an accommodation application form. This form should be completed and returned to the Student Accommodation Office. Please note that to guarantee a place in a University Hall of Residence, your form must be received by the Accommodation Office no later than 31 August. Where possible your first choice of accommodation will be offered, but if this is not possible, you will be offered the nearest option to your choice. To accept an offer of accommodation you must sign the contract and return one copy, with the deposit of ?00.00 sterling plus the utility charge within 21 days. Please be aware that in accepting the offer you are entering into a legally binding contract. Admissions through ClearingOnce you have been accepted through clearing you will be sent an accommodation application form. This form should be completed and returned to the Student Accommodation Office. Application forms for second and subsequent years are available at the start of the spring term. Allocations for accommodation will commence in early March, when students will be given an opportunity to view the accommodation offered prior to acceptance. Group applications are encouraged, to allow the opportunity for students to choose their flat-mates, but individual allocations are possible. How to ApplyAccommodation application forms are sent out to all existing University accommodation tenants at the start of the spring term. Students living out-with University Accommodation can collect an application form from the Student Accommodation Office. This form should be completed and returned to the Student Accommodation Office by the date specified on the form. Where possible your first choice of accommodation will be offered, but if this is not possible, you will be offered the nearest option to your choice. If you want to book a number of separate stays over the vacation, one application per stay is required. |
